AbstractLeonard J. Kirschvink (1830-1897) and Anna Maria Hansen Kirschvink (1830-1915) emigrated in 1855 with their infant daughter from the town of Raeren (formerly part of the north Rhine-Westphalia region of Prussia, today a part of Belgium) first to Indianola, Texas, and later to Fredericksburg. They were Roman Catholic and the family business was shoemaking.
