AbstractThis volume contains 461 letters, covering the period from 1848 to 1864, written by four German-American families, the Franks, Kerlers, Seyffardts, and Barcks. All were closely united through both marriage and friendship. The letters touch many aspects of the agricultural, social, political, and business events of that pioneer period.
