AbstractRobbins' article discusses the work of the "Deutsche Zeitungsgesellschaft," the territorial and state immigration associations, and the county societies, as well as their agents Renner, Siemers and Hedde, in developing methods of immigration promotion to be used by the immigration and colonialization agencies of the Nebraska railroads in the 1870s and 80s.
