AbstractUpon closer examination, a surprising number of Canadian postage stamps reveal more than they were intended to represent. Nearly eighty of them attest to both an uninterrupted German presence in and contribution to the Canadian cultural mosaic, since the year of the introduction of the first postal adhesive here, in 1851. This article enumerates and describes several Canadian postage stamps that show German influence.
