AbstractGermanic Genealogist includes: "The Schweir Family," by Karen P. Neuforth (the Schweir family came from Lahde on the Weser River in the Minden District of North Rhine-Westphalen. Five of nine siblings emigrated in the 1850s, settling in Aurora, Indiana, and Cincinnati, Ohio); "Chronicle of the Look Family," contributed by Duncan B. Gardiner from Bericht ueber die 90-jaehrige Pilgerfahrt des Helden John Look geb. am 6. 8. 1787 in Hau (Herzogtum Cleve) gest. am 5. 10. 1876 in Detroit (Michigan, U.S.A. sowie ueber seine Nachkommen (John Look, son of Wilhelm Look (1738-1803) and Johanna Bastians (1756-1809), was born in 1787 in Hau, Germany. He fought in Napolean's army. He married Gertrude Angenendt, daughter of Theodor Angenendt and Allegonda Vulling, in 1815 in Pfalzdorf, Germany. They had eight children. They emigrated in 1850 and settled in Michigan. He died in 1876 in Detroit, Michigan.); and "Church Records of The Old Red (Zion Lutheran) Church Schuylkill, Pennsylvania," by Oscar H. Stroh.
