AbstractThis brochure takes up the experiences of German immigrants from Prussia, hoping to fill in yet another information gap -- the story of how they traveled from Prussia to the New World, and specifically to Missouri. It relies heavily on the emigrants' own accounts in letters and diaries. The emigrants' impressions, interwoven with historical facts provided by the German ports from which they sailed and the US harbors to which they came, unfold a daring story.
