Stories include that of Abraham Blumer who in 1777 helped hide the Liberty Bell from British troops advancing on Philadelphia, LTC Martin Tschudy who fell at the epicenter of Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg, Alice Kundert who ran for Governor of South Dakota, and the curious story of immigrant Fridolin Blumer who re-invented himself as Alaskan mountaineer and prospector named Jack Koby.
