AbstractThis booklet addresses the German-speaking artists who came to Hollywood/Los Angeles between 1910 and 1945. Of particular interest in this booklet are those artists who, for political reasons during the Nazi dictatorship, did not emigrate willingly but rather had to go into exile without any concrete prospects for ever being able to return to their homeland. This booklet will establish cultural/historical relationships as well a introduce artistic developments, lifestyles, and interaction between the German-speaking nations and the U.S.
