AbstractDuring Georgia's fifty-year colonial period from 1733 to 1783, there were several German-speaking settlements. The most important of these German-speaking settlements were Ebenezer and its dependencies, Bethany and Goshen; the Moravian congregation in Savannah; the 'Dutch' villages of Acton and Vernonburg; and the German Village at Frederica near the Florida border.
