AbstractSelected pages from the family history. Heinrich and Emilie emigrated from Warmensteinach, Bavaria, to Texas in 1854. Includes a letter in transliteration and translation written in 1854 describing the death of Emilie only fourteen days in their new country, as well as transliterations and translations for several handwritten notes wishing the Rothes' well in their new life, written by friends and family before their departure.
