AbstractFrom 1775 to 1918, Bukovina was the easternmost province of the Austrian Empire. It was partitioned by Romania and Ukraine in the wake of World War II. This article provides a history of Bukovina and of immigration of Bukovina Germans to the United States, Canada, and Brazil. Also provides details on the foundation and activities of the Bukovina Society, located in Ellis, Kansas.
