AbstractFrom the Introduction: "More than 150 years ago many people of the Montabaur region emigrated to America. . . . Three villages of what was then the duchy of Nassau were given up altogether, among them Sespenroth which was situated in what is now the communal land of Heilberscheid. 48 people of then 60 inhabitants left for Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Only three families stayed behind." Includes a listing of the 48 people who emigrated.
