AbstractFriedrich Heinrich David (Henry) Gaskamp was born in 1849 in Arrenkamp, Westphalia, Germany. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1867, settling in St. Louis, Missouri. His brother, Friedrich Heinrich Wilhelm Gaskamp was born in 1853 in Arrenkamp. Friedrich immigrated to the U.S. in 1882, settling in the Zionsville community in Washington County, Texas. Along with his wife, Margarethe Louise Sophie Wendt, and his children, Friedrich brought his sisters, Louise Agnes Elisabeth Gaskamp and Sophie Margarethe Louise Gaskamp.
