Vertrieb in der Deutschen Bundesrepublik und in Westberlin nicht gestattet" [This is the German Democratic Republic's approved edition of the Hamburg publication.] Bachmann was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Bruedergemeine (Moravian Church). Note from Lester Seifert: "Bachmann was one of the important ministers of the Herrnhuter (United Brethren). His own work was mainly in Africa, but he may well have trained clergy and missionaries for North America. In that respect, he may have a marginal relevance to our collection."
