Abstract[From Ward, Bio-Bibliography, 1985: Kudlich, Hans, b. 10-25-1823 in Lobenstein (now in Czechoslovakia), d. 11-11-1917 in Hoboken, N.J. Fled in 1849 because of his part in the October Revolution in Vienna. Sentenced to death, later pardoned by Austrian government. Went to Switzerland where he married the daughter of Karl Vogt, then emigrated to America. He has been treated in a novel by H. B. Wittek, Sturm uebern Ackern (1927), and one by Franz Stamprech, Hans Kudlich (1948).]
