AbstractDolmetsch's work contains the first history of German printing and publishing activities in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. The dissertation is divided into three parts: an overview of German literature in the Shenandoah Valley, German journalism in the S. Valley and a study on style, spelling and English influence on German writings. Includes Vita and Bibliography.
