MKI AnnotationGerman-American author. Zorn, Carl Manthey, born 3-18-1846 in Sterup, Schleswig, died 7-12-1928 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Attended Gymnasium in Kreuznach, Schleswig and ordained in 1871. Sent by the Lpz. Mission Soc. as a missionary to India in 1871. Served as pastor in Sheboygan, Wis. in 1876, and at Zion Evang. Luth. Church in Cleveland in 1881. Retired due to ill health in 1911. Received D.D. degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis on 10-25-1920. Author of at least 50 books in German and English.
