| Abstract | The tale of how the old organ grinder, Treffy, became friends with a young orphan boy named Christie and allowed him to stay with hiim in his small room. Christie took over the job of playing the organ for donations. He has devoted himself to helping Treffy prepare spiritually for death as the old man's health continues to deteriorate. Christie becomes a minister, marries, and looks forward to a long and happy life with his wife. He hopes to one day join his late mother and friend Treffy in the "home, sweet home" promised to the Christian faithful. |
