Daughter of Ludwig Klee, director of Gymnasium in Dresden in 1849. Passed state teachers' exam in 1863. Taught and directed her own Lehrinstitut until 1868 when she married Pastor Emil Lenk in Siebenlehn, Saxony. Immigrated 1873 with her husband to America where they remained until 1888 when they returned to Germany.]
