MKI AnnotationInscribed "Elisa Lucht." Heinrich Rembe was born 1858 in Eisleben. A poet, journalist, and editor in Berlin, he came to Mt. Vernon, New York in 1886, and then studied theology at the Lutheran seminary in Kropp, Schlewsig. He assumed a pastorate in Hamilton, Ontario. Rembe died in 1927.
