Abstract"Among the old lines of farmers even now still residing in Prignitz, Altmark and the Havelland region are the Quasebarth. Their oldest ascertainable homeland is the so-called 'Wische,' the old flood plain of the Elbe river between the two ridges of land, the Altmark and Prignitz."
