| Abstract | Johann Balthasas Fromm was born to a family of hand weavers in Sachsen-Meiningen in 1818. He married and started a family, and immigrated with them to the United States in 1851. He settled in Cincinnati, and later in Chillicothe, Ohio, where he and his family published a German-language newspaper, Unserer Zeit. |
