| Abstract | Paul Beermann was born 14 September 1904 in Tsing Tao [Qingdao], China, to German-Jewish parents Joseph and Elise Edelstein Beermann. He was naturalized 22 March 1935, in San Diego, California. He studied to become a hydraulic engineer, and was Director of the Water Department for the City of San Diego. |
