| MKI Annotation | Karl Heinrich (Charles Henry) Rohe was born 1846 in Syracuse, New York. Moved as a young boy with his parents to Crete, Illinois. Attended school in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and studies theology in St. Louis. Served as a Lutheran pastor in 1878 in Joliet, Ill., and later in Detroit. Ward indicates Rohe went to Germany "because of ill health," and that he later served a congregation in Columbus, Ohio. He died 1902 in Columbus. |
