Abstract"Given that the Firsching name is relatively uncommon (estimated at 167 in the US as of the 2010 census)," the author sought "to identify the roots of the Firschings in the US." Provides information on original Firsching immigrants, who all came from Bavaria beginning in 1852; distribution of Firschings in the US; and highlights of their immigration stories in Utica (NY), New York City, Ohio, Texas, Iowa, and Pennsylvania.
