Abstract | The Gans family came from Alsace-Lorraine around 1753, possibly settling in Fredericks Town, Maryland. Sometime in 1803 or 1804, John Gans and his wife Catherine left their home in Fayette County, Pennslvania for a new home in Nimishellen Township, Ohio. |
