AbstractMathilde Victoria Seibel was born in Baltimore County, Maryland, in 1855. She was the daughter of Johann Balthaser Seibel and Anna Catharina Klinge Seibel, who emigrated from Halgehausen, Hesse. She married Johannes Valentine Christian Weidemeyer in 1874. Johannes died at age 27 of typhoid fever in 1878, and Mathilde married Howard Franklin Ritter in 1884; Howard died in 1887.
