Abstract | Leo and Franziska Hurst Berger came to America in 1847, arriving first in New Orleans, and settling in Brown County, Ohio. Around 1855 the family relocated to Sibley County, Minnesota. Leo Berger acquired an 80-acre parcel in Jessenland Township, and built his farm. Berger's buildings have been relocated and are now preserved as part of The Landing, Minnesota's River Heritage Park in Shakopee. |
