Abstract | Part VI - IX. Henry Merkl continues to experience once again scenes from his life. Henry becomes involved with two friends, Lui and August. His mother implores him to free himself from their clutches, but to no avail. Henry's work suffers, and he is let go. His mother and his brother Fritz go the church to pray for Henry. Henry attends church and confesses, feeling better. It is decided to send Henry to Berlin to live with relatives. August tries to tempt Henry with wine, but Henry declines. [To be continued.] |
