AbstractRev. Albert Stroebele, a missionary at St. Andrews and Old Providence Islands in the Caribbean, is raising funds for a "Missionsschiff," to be christened the Immaculata in honor of the Immaculate Conception. The Immaculata will allow for travel among the islands in the area, and will have a statue of the Virgin Mary with outstretched arms placed at the helm of the ship, as an invitation to the islanders. Stroebele's appeal is to appear in all Catholic publications, with the request that donors give one "Cent" to support this missionary project. As an enduring memento, the names of donors will be listed in a book kept aboard the ship.
