MKI AnnotationAlexander Berghold was born in 1838 in Dirnreith, Stiermark. He arrived in New York on May 1, 1864 and was ordained in St. Paul in 1864. He was the first pastor and founder of the parish that is today the Cathedral church of the diocese of New Ulm, Minnesota.
