MKI AnnotationJakob Heintz was born 1833 in Alzey, and died in 1901 in New York. He emigrated with his parents to America in 1849. A cabinet maker and furniture dealer in New York, Heintz was known for his Turner poetry; he won first prize at the 1854 National Turnfest in Philadelphia.
