AbstractThis little book embodies many areas of the early history of Germans in Maryland. It acquaints us with the origin of the Lutheran and German Reformed churches in Maryland as recorded by the Reverends Heinrich Melchior Muhlenberg and Michael Schlatter and develops the 'rise and fall' of the old settlement of Monocacy. Surnames of families are included, some families are treated in detail.
