Abstract"The American Family. Robert Ziemer, a journeyman blacksmith, emigrated alone in 1869, at the age of 17," from Körlin (now Karlino, Poland), Pomerania. He worked in Cleveland, Ohio at the German-American Rauch & Lang Carriage Works. Robert Ziemer later married Ottilie Strandt, who emigrated in 1869 from Ueckermünde, Pomerania.
