????????????????????????????????????????

Many of our Friends have ancestors who came from German-speaking Europe. The Max Kade Institute helps family historians by offering general information on the immigrant experience, gazetteers and maps to help locate European town and villages, and a  referral list for transcription and translation services.

If you have written your family history, the Max Kade Institute would be happy to add a copy to the Family History Collection in the Max Kade Institute Library.  Patrons who wish to explore the resources of the Institute on their own, are welcome during regular library hours: Monday – Friday, 9 – 4pm. Please make an appointment with an MKI staff member for assistance with specific materials.

The Friends also cosponsor workshops for family historians who research their German-speaking ancestors.
